Busy preparing for exam, so I better type in English… faster… Few days ago I randomly picked up a book, which was mailed to me along with “Daily Bread” long long time ago. The book is named “Anchors in the Storm – Truths that Hold Us Steady”, basically the whole book talks about how to deal with troubles in life.
And there’s one analogy which sounds quite funny yet thought-provoking, so I wanna share it with you guys here : )
All of you must have tried watermelon before. When you put your thumb on a wet watermelon seed and apply a little pressure, it will spurt out and fly across the table.
Same in life, when trouble comes, life seems to press on us so heavily… so we are like a watermelon seed being pressed. We may cry out loud to Lord, “Lord please help me! Help me get out of here!”
If God says no, and we still keep faith and claim God, we hang in there, as faith produces endurance. After times of endurance you will eventually set free and fly as if a watermelon seed spurting out to the goal.
“Staying under pressure with a good spirit is an important part of the divine process as He works toward His productive end in our lives” (quoted from the book)
Bros and sis, if you are under pressure, keep a heart of faith and endure! You will finally fly as fast and firmly as a watermelon seed towards the ultimate goal!
